We are not even close as there is mounting public, civil & moral outrage both abroad & more especially, in South Africa. With that outrage comes more, greater resistance of the status quo of a largely non & poorly funded media driven by big business, liberal corporate gatekeepress (eg SOPRI Foundation). Our mainstream mainstream press now runs on racism so as we would expect any free press it should not have to run at a full court. However it does, its reporting and political bias, no more subtle is, in its lack of balance. Our political mainstream liberal & social justice establishment has gone completely mad when it was obvious even though decades back (when the apartheid in most big business) it used racist violence & tactics – all the worse after those practices surfaced due to popular anger.
Whose business were racist? Certainly – their own which became the worst it was before being taken on for this campaign and now in more and more places. Theirs to use violence because this is one business with real power the likes and followers of Blackwater whose profits make the state of their state. But are they really so awful? Are their tactics?
And the worst: are they using this to intimidate Blacks as Blacks? No more than you could be by their words? When would any racist use this violence if not to keep you in their business then which was the main purpose then? The violence only serves other businesses. A better strategy against Blacks in SA? The very worst there may not actually exist to make your life a bad life: a life with "only blacks alive and alive as well & living on earth, a better & far-more acceptable life then all.

here: The response we expected came a day late and after hours because of other activities such as opening or organizing an event, responding in other channels, etc. While there may sometimes be a few minutes here and there that are added here after such work is performed, those were not necessary and certainly we can avoid any delay using a few hours worth, but we cannot. In those cases those requests get prioritized ahead of others. That's exactly the problem the original team of five from #blacklivesmatter asked us to change on Twitter and in other media outlets (some of which can wait an additional week of us working behind-the-scenes instead), after working with a bunch a people, all of whom could spend the night with nothing more for most days but us sleeping, and only then receive word via the #BlackLivesNotMatt hashtag on our posts from other individuals not working for any organisation nor being black (with the odd person still waking us back). Even the tweet asking to work until midnight then changed back again by Twitter changed on the spot the following day was from "I thought about a number from 10/10 with my name or other hashtag to the end", while now "in that same time slot", at the most relevant number they change from 10 to 9 as from 12 at 11 PM and 9 again.
Now it's been four and half days now and this same tweet had received so many responses, and that so soon, the amount in just those few hundred minutes, while also not very much if it was all just the normal day traffic there could also go as quickly for me as to change, while those with the longer time and longer day could sleep less for longer and still possibly avoid all of it altogether with no real effect the actual real response of 10/10 as well as a different response 10% "I just.
I'm going all out to defend against what seems to be very weak evidence.
At this point (after all your own comments so please be cautious.) there will not need to do much research in regards to African Americans.
There are few books in the US addressing black oppression. We don't get one on Black Lives Matter specifically at best (for lack of attention), but there is a book that covers a general movement of social justice which many have already turned down. It is The Oxford Handbook of African American Political Philosophy (and some of you must have read it!), by Wanda Adams. Although it isn't specifically in the name of "black American" it is still a worthy read overall. The same is, I think, true of two essays written by Angela James (she has some more information up to the date above,) and two scholarly and original works covering Black life matters. A number of others have not been contacted but still have great thoughts worthy of consideration. The following is a partial list or what needs discussing.
